This Week’s Spotlight and Project-Inspiration Theme: Halloween

This week’s focus is Halloween!

October 31st is Halloween and this week’s theme! We hope that you take on the Halloween spirit this week, either by going trick-or-treating or enjoying a scary movie. Whatever you plan to do, remember to have fun, be safe, and have a Happy Halloween!

Here are three Halloween inspired coding activities that you can try this week:

  1. Use this Tynker coding tutorial and program a game to help the monster collect all the candy on the screen. You can create your own scene and program the monsters to move faster.

  2. Try this coding tutorial for a Halloween-themed puzzle. There are a couple of different puzzles, and all are great activities for practicing coding skills like functions, loops, variables, and more.

  3. Follow this Scratch creation and make a program to carve your own pumpkin. You can use this link to remix the code and add on your own unique features.

We hope you have a spooky Halloween, whatever you create, don't forget to share it with us!
