Educators from MN and beyond will join us for a day of virtual sessions that explore ways to expand equitable and engaging computer science learning opportunities to all students, with a focus on integrating computer science and computational thinking into a variety of K-12 curricular areas and learning formats.
There will be sessions covering topics such as CS Ed in HS, Inclusion in Tech, CS as a Creative Practice and fun interactive sessions about Python, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit and many more! And we are really excited to welcome Nancy Lyons, CEO of Clockwork, as our keynote speaker! You can read more about her in this past Spotlight.

This Week's Project Inspiration Theme: Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month!
This month we want to honor and celebrate the culture, traditions and history of the Native American communities and acknowledge their countless contributions, especially within Minnesota. We also aim to learn and educate ourselves on the challenges Native American communities have and still face today. The library of congress and other institutions have created a website with many great resources to learn and celebrate this month, check it out here and check out the MN History Center for more resources here. Try using this app inventor tutorial to take what you have learned and create your own encyclopedia. Remember, this is just a suggestion; use your creative genius to create a personalized project!
We hope you create a CS project in honor of Native American Heritage Month! If you do, please share it with us.
Share Your CS to Go Projects!
How to Share: We invite CS to Go with Code Savvy participants to consider sharing your projects publicly with the Code Savvy and greater #MNCodes community via video with Flipgrid. We can’t wait to see what you create! Please be sure to follow online safety guidelines and get adult permission before sharing. You can find our Privacy Policy here.
